I started practicing yoga during my senior year of high school with my very first class being none other than Niyama Hot Yoga with Mac. Right after the unbearably hot class was over, I knew I was hooked. As I started going to more and more classes, I found that not only my flexibility increased, but my mood and overall outlook on life was elevated.
I took the the next step to become a teacher because I wanted to share with as many people as possible the practice that has changed my life so much for the better and give to someone else the great gift of yoga that was given to me. I began training in the summer of 2009 with Mac McHugh and I have also been certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) in yoga. I have been fortunate enough to begin my practice at Niyama and share the experience with almost all of the teachers who work there.
I teach Hatha yoga at the Health and Recreation Center in Indianapolis, as well as Niyama Hot Yoga. Outside of yoga, I am studying chemistry at Butler University and I have aspirations to become a pharmaceutical synthetic chemist.
