After many years of distance and marathon running, with occasional forays into the world of yoga, I became a serious and regular
practitioner in 1998. At that time, I was juggling the demands of a freelance singing career while raising three boys and taking courses to complete my
degree in music. Yoga brought balance to my life.
I have had the privilege of working with many gifted teachers at yoga studios in Chicago and on the North Shore. With the exception of two years of Iyengar training and intermittent Ashtanga classes, most of my yoga experience has been in the Vinyasa/Flow style. In December 2007, I completed a 200-hour Teacher Training Intenseive at Yogaview, located in Chicago. This program included study of yoga philosophy, anatomy, meditation, pranayama, and asana.
Currently, I teach classes at The Silken Tent (Glenview) and Heaven Meets Earth (Evanston) along with occasional private lessons. As always, I
continue to deepen my practice and knowledge of yoga with ongoing classes and workshops.
I look forward to sharing this transformative practice with my students in an atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement.
