Upon my graduation from Northwestern University, I began working in the theater in Chicago and worked as an actress/singer/dancer for many years.
I began singing with society orchestras and eventually formed my own band and musical services company, Patti Lupo Music.
I began studying yoga in 1999 and completed my teacher training with Suddha
Weixler at the Chicago Yoga Center in 2002. I began teaching at Banyan Tree Yoga in Evanston (thanks Moira!) and currently teach at Lifetime Fitness in Skokie, Evanston Athletic Club in Evanston, and Niyama
Yoga in Wilmette. I also teach yoga for musicians at Yogaview in Chicago.
I have participated in workshops with John Friend, Seane Corn, Sianna Sherman and Mitchell Bleier, Desiree Rumbaugh and Manju Jois.
I love teaching both beginners and advanced students and believe that the healing effects of yoga are profound and can help students of all ages, shapes and sizes. My style is warm and nurturing and I encourage
a strong physical practice emphasizing breath and alignment. |
