Yoga feels good, it makes me happy, relaxed and more at ease with myself and the world.
Practicing meditation, quiets the chatter in my mind, lessens my reactivity and opens me to experience an inner stillness.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation on and off since the early 80’s. I recommitted to both yoga and meditation in 2002 when I took a training program with Jon Kabat-Zinn in mindfulness based meditation for
stress reduction. I began teaching MBSR classes at that time.
The yoga teacher training I look at Yogaview in 2006 really increased my commitment to practice and to teach.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice in Evanston, IL. My experience
as a psychotherapist and meditation teacher has honed my intuitive sense, enabling me to be present to myself and my students just as they are.
I believe in the awakening power of mindful meditation and yoga. It has transformed my life. I am motivated and committed to help others experience this
process.
The stillness, inner peace and awareness I experience when I
practice brings me back to the mat on a daily basis.
