I started doing yoga once a week as a way to get together with friends. Soon after, I realized yoga had much to offer and began practicing daily. This daily practice helped me greatly when my husband and I adopted three young boys within a year. Yoga gave me the peace of mind and strength of spirit I needed to start raising my family. Furthermore, it gave me the confidence to believe in myself and the willingness to be open to what the world has to offer.
Wanting to learn more about the history and philosophy of yoga, I started Daren Friesen’s teacher training program at Moksha Yoga Center where I learned that yoga is a way of living life that fills you with gratitude and humility. During this training, I realized that yoga helps you learn more about who you are by bringing awareness to your body, mind and spirit. I am amazed by the generosity and supportiveness I find within the yoga community. I am so grateful and honored to be teaching yoga and hope to bring a sense of playfulness, curiosity and serenity to all of my classes.
